On a beautiful Saturday morning in Autumn 8 of us went for a walk around the glorious Maranoa Botanic Gardens in Balwyn. Maranoa Gardens is significant as one of the very few gardens dedicated solely to Australian Native Plants. We walked around the Arboretum, then the lush Rainforest area and finally through the Arid garden where many Western Australian natives have been planted.
We finished with a delightful morning tea with beautiful sandwiches made by Joanne and a delicious cake provided by Alan. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning.
